A big sea for creatives

A big sea for creatives

8th October 2018 Off By Chloe Grant

The cold is creeping in, the summer holidays are all over. As more people look for the work-life balance, Urban Reef is offering free, cosy workspace to creatives, freelancers and those working away from the office this winter.

We’ve got tonnes of tea. Packing plenty of coffee. Owning cake and lunch and dinner too.

The first & second floor of our lovely restaurant Urban Reef is open to those wanting a creative space with sea views to inspire them this winter.

Urban Reef lives on one of Britain’s most famous beaches. It has triple-height glass frontage flooding the restaurant with natural sunlight– banishing those winter blues that we all succumb to now and then. You don’t have to be sat in a cold office chair all day.

Creatives on the coast

Our very own Urban Reef creatives themselves base themselves in an adjacent 1960’s beach ‘pod’. It was regenerated and updated by the creative fashion designer and manufacturer – Wayne Hemingway. The view never gets old. They come into the restaurant to work often too – purely for good vibes, the cosy fire, yummy food & to drink all of our tea. We love them for it 😉

They also love going to seminars and inspirational talks that happen often at Reef. So even if you just need somewhere for a big meeting with a projector and comfy seats – we got you.

“We get people from as far a-field as London, setting up their laptop for the day – just so they have the view, good coffee and food and the creative vibe that oozes from the restaurant. The beach has to be the most inspiring place to be if you’re trying to get some work done which is why we are encouraging people to use the space this winter.” – Mark Cribb – Urban Reef’s owner

Watch the video below made by one of our very own creatives, tea drinkers & head of shouting – marketing Matt. He’ll give you the down low.

We don’t insist that you buy a three-course dinner when you work with us.
But, a cup of coffee & slice of cake would do us both some good.
We can’t wait to have all you creative little chickens in our nest x
